Environmental Health and Safety Specialist

We are seeking a proactive and experienced professional to drive the implementation of our Environmental, Health and Safety management systems across two sites in Melbourne.
This is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven individual to support operations and promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement within our organization.
Key Responsibilities:- Implement EHS programs, training and inductions at both sites.
- Conduct risk assessments, inspections and incident investigations to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Facilitate site safety meetings and maintain accurate records of EHS performance.
- Monitor and manage workers compensation claims, return to work coordination and EHS-related incidents.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness, accountability and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
- A formal qualification in WHS/OHS and return to work is essential.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar EHS role, preferably in the food manufacturing sector.
- Strong knowledge of VIC Environment & OHS legislation and industry best practices is required.
- Excellent communication, analytical and stakeholder engagement skills are necessary to succeed in this role.
- A proven track record in incident management, audits and risk-based programs is highly desirable.
