
Site Operations Coordinator

This pivotal position entails overseeing and coordinating all aspects of resources contracts. As a critical member of the team, you will report directly to the Contract Director and work closely with internal and external stakeholders.
The primary responsibilities of this role include:
- Maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders and adhering to contractual requirements throughout planning and preparation phases
- Developing and managing processes for handling late and emergent work, ensuring seamless execution
- Leading the turnaround at all stages in accordance with the Ventia 7-Phase Turnaround Process and aligned with client IMPACT systems as necessary, identifying areas requiring action and developing plans for resolution
Additonal responsibilities include:
- Identifying necessary resources to support PRE-TAR Phase and execution
- Strategizing and supporting clients in developing logistics plans to meet Turnaround (TAR) event needs
- Validating contractor/third-party execution estimates
- Leading competency checks of TAR blue-collar front-line supervision, including sub-vendors
- Supporting/reviewing compilation of TAR execution procedures
- Responsible for the construability workshop and inputs to all work packages and integrated schedules
- Ensuring completion of all pre-turnaround work before pull feed
- Overseeing completion of all Turnaround work within the execution phase as per the integrated schedule
- Effectively directing activities for multiple coordinators and supervisors in PRE-TAR & Execution Phase
- Reviewing Primavera Schedule and validating Work scopes are built into the schedule
- Providing leadership on safety to crews using personal experience and knowledge to promote proper and safe methods of performance
- Directly reporting to key stakeholders, including PMC discipline execution leads, PMC central services execution leads, and client execution resources
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Engineering degree qualified in engineering, accompanied by extensive experience in turnaround/shutdown/project management roles, or suitable trade qualification background with at least 10-15 years' experience in similar industries
- Experience in managing large complex turnarounds in the Oil & Gas industry, particularly in downstream environments such as LNG and Oil Refining
- Strong attitude towards health, safety, and environment
- Ability to effectively liaise with stakeholders at various levels of seniority
- Capacity to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and achieve performance targets
- Familiarity with key planning software, such as Primavera P6
- Able to support completion of key client contract KPIs
- Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills, people management, and client interfacing
- High level of financial acumen, including cost engineering and budget management
Ventia offers flexible working arrangements, including FIFO from Perth Airport. If you reside outside WA, you would need to be willing to travel to Perth to fly out.
