Job Title

As a critical infrastructure expert, you will play a vital role in maintaining and evolving the facilities that power the digital world. This fast-paced role supports the overall functioning of the data center by focusing on maintaining and improving its critical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete maintenance protocols, plans, activities on time and accurately, including daily, weekly, and monthly site checks.
  • Manage and oversee specialist vendors for all major works, planned repairs, and maintenance to electrical and special systems – in particular chillers, AHU, CRAH, CRAC, and all HVAC/mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Perform minor changes to mechanical, electrical, and special systems if necessary.
  • Ensure sufficient spare parts are available on site for frequently used parts or parts with long lead times and maintain critical spares register.
  • Monitor for and respond to BMS (Building Monitoring System) alarms in accordance with engineering policies and procedures, escalating to and working with Controls Engineering team where required.
  • Participate in an on-call roster to act as the first responder for sites' incidents, managing, resolving, and/or escalating critical issues outside of regular working hours.
Qualifications, Key Skills, and Attributes Required:
  • Practical experience through understanding of critical facility operations, with a focus on HVAC/mechanical (Chillers, BMS, AHU, CRAC, CRAH).
  • Trade qualification or degree certification.
  • Solid knowledge or understanding of HVAC controls.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing complex mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in time-sensitive situations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.
  • Capability to execute tasks through effort and collaboration without formal written process.
