About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Site Operations Manager to support day-to-day operations and personnel onsite. This role will see you play a crucial part in fostering positive relationships and empowering staff.

This is a permanent, full-time role (Monday-Friday).

Your duties will include:

  • Managing new personnel arrivals to site and mobilisation, including inductions, site access, transport, and accommodation.
  • Coordinating and managing the mobilisation of Pacific Labour Scheme (PLS) workers.
  • Transporting employees to clinics and appointments.
  • Conflict resolution and addressing employee issues proactively.
  • Managing and supporting onsite employee wellbeing, including regular check-ins and follow-ups.
  • Education and mentoring of onsite employees in relation to workplace operations.
  • Fostering the relationship between the client and FIP Group employees.
  • Managing the onsite workforce, including employee onboarding, employee performance, and conduct-related matters, probationary checks, warnings, and terminations.
  • Escalating serious breaches or seeking guidance on desired outcomes to Internal HR.
  • Overseeing, managing, and reporting on employee retention and attendance.
  • Educating and coaching onsite employees and visitors on safe site practices.
  • Monitoring and reporting site safety and WHS policies and procedures.

This role will require travel to Corio.

About You

To excel in this position, you should be committed to delivering results and supporting onsite personnel. Your dedication to this role and the fostering of positive relationships is crucial to your success.

You should also possess the following attributes:

  • People management experience.
  • Intermediate computer literacy, including Microsoft Suite skills.
  • High-level written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exposure to the fundamentals of Human Resources, HR experience is desirable.
  • Open Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle.
  • High-level problem-solving skills.
  • Ability and willingness to receive a QFever vaccination and complete a Police Check.
  • Exposure to site safety and WHS policies is desired.
  • Experience working with a culturally diverse workforce is desired.
