Mechanical Engineering Technician

We are seeking a skilled professional to carry out inspections, testing, maintenance, and repairs on our fleet of plant, trucks, and specialized equipment. This hands-on role is essential in ensuring our machinery operates safely, efficiently, and at peak performance.

This position requires strong skills in diagnosing and repairing hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems. The successful candidate will have experience maintaining and repairing heavy plant, trucks, and specialized asphalt paving and profiling machinery.

The ideal candidate will possess a trade qualification as a Mechanical Engineering Technician, Fitter, or equivalent. They will also have demonstrated ability to interpret and work from technical drawings, manuals, and specifications.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct scheduled preventative maintenance and urgent repairs on heavy plant, trucks, and specialized equipment.
  • Inspect and test mechanical systems, hydraulic circuits, pneumatic systems, and engine performance to identify faults.
  • Adjust, modify, and calibrate equipment and components to improve performance and ensure operational specifications are met.
  • Install, assemble, and test mechanical components and systems.
