Groundwater Leadership Opportunity

Join our team of experts to lead a national Groundwater Modelling practice, working collaboratively with state-based teams and clients to deliver innovative solutions.

This is an exciting opportunity for a hydrogeology leader to join our dynamic team and contribute to the growth and development of our business. You will have the chance to work on complex groundwater modelling projects, collaborate with experienced professionals, and develop your skills in project management, leadership, and client relationships.


About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a virtual team of 11 people across multiple offices, delivering and growing our Groundwater Modelling Practice. This role can be based in any of our offices and requires excellent collaboration and communication skills.

You will work closely with our Technical Discipline Manager and Hydrogeology Technical Directors to implement our business plan, aligning with global strategic priorities.


Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a national Groundwater Modelling practice, collaborating with state-based teams and clients to deliver innovative solutions.
  • Develop and implement strategies to grow and develop our business, aligned with our global strategic priorities.
  • Work collaboratively with our Technical Discipline Manager and Hydrogeology Technical Directors to implement our business plan.
  • Collaborate with our state-based teams to deliver solutions for our clients.

Requirements
  • 7-20 years' industry experience as a hydrogeologist, including consultancy experience.
  • An appropriate Engineering or Science tertiary qualification.
  • A strong technical background in numerical modelling, hydrogeological conceptualisation, groundwater impact assessment, and hydrogeological investigation.
  • A thorough understanding of Australian groundwater legislation and guidelines related to resource development and infrastructure projects.
  • A strong commitment to Health and Safety.
  • Demonstrated experience managing and delivering large technical projects, particularly complex groundwater modelling projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, self-motivation, and ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Excellent communication and technical report writing skills.
  • Demonstrated experience successfully mentoring junior staff in preparing quality reports on time and within budget.
  • Experience in successfully collaborating with related technical staff to deliver project solutions.
