Job Opportunity: We are seeking a seasoned Category Manager to optimize relationships with stakeholders and drive strategic planning for professional services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintains a strategic overview of commercial attributes of the professional services category.
  • Leads the strategic planning process, maintaining a whole-of-category plan that is regularly communicated to internal stakeholders and key partners.
  • Participates in the preparation of business cases, procurement plans, risk management strategies, and other relevant procurement documentation.
  • Is responsible for the procurement lifecycle of the category under management: planning, research, solicitation (tendering), contract management & completion.
  • Collaborates with contract stakeholders to lead the development of procurement strategies, contract objectives, scope, timeframes, benchmarks for evaluation, and other contractual terms.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification and/or commercial experience in a relevant discipline.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, relationship management, and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated commercial experience in the planning, development, and/or management of high-risk, complex contracts.
  • Demonstrated ability in establishing and leading work groups and/or project teams.
  • Highly-developed written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated analytical, research, and conceptual skills.
  • Highly-developed organizational skills.
