Strong Category Management experience required.

We have an exciting opening for a Category Specialist professional on a 12-month fixed-term basis. As a Category Specialist within Major Projects, you will manage the procurement of equipment, materials, and consumables for Major Projects across our client's business.

**Duties/Responsbilities**:

- Understanding and meeting customer requirements, developing partnering relationships with internal customers.
- Ensuring category management activities align with our values, standards, licenses, and regulations.
- Developing and executing forward-thinking strategic sourcing, category, and contractor management plans.
- Leading concurrent sourcing processes and contractor management activities such as RFXs, negotiations, and risk apportionment/contract drafting.
- Proactively managing contractor relationships and performance.
- Facilitating, leading, and engaging with internal customers to deliver sound contractor management outcomes consistent with our values and processes (e.g., pre-mobilisation, integration, and regular reviews).

**Skills and Experience**:

- Relevant qualification in a related discipline (e.g., Business, Law, or Engineering).
- Previous experience in a similar commercial role with strong commercial analysis and management skills.
- Strong understanding of Category Management methodologies within an industrial environment.
- Strong relationship management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of procurement ERP software.
