Job Title:

Mechanical Fitter


About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical/Maintenance Fitter to join our Engineering Team at Pipe Road, Laverton North. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing predictive, preventive, corrective and proactive maintenance on equipment across our plant.


Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and implement maintenance strategies to ensure efficient use of resources;
  • Perform duties and work assigned on daily schedule to a high standard in safety, environmental, and quality requirements;
  • Contribute to a culture of continual improvement by participating/ practising 5 S, toolbox meetings or investigations to improve equipment reliability;
  • To help maintain records of equipment spares and repairs undertaken using Maintenance software;
  • Participate in preparation of pre-work pack before commencing work, ie. scoping, JSEA preparation, job checklists etc. to ensure efficient completion of tasks;
  • To ensure the workshops are kept to a high standard of housekeeping and perform 5 S audits;

Requirements:

You will need to be a qualified and experienced Mechanical/Maintenance Fitter with demonstrated experience in the Chemical industry or similar (DG Goods/Schedule 14). You should also have strong problem-solving skills, a commitment to continuous improvement activities while being safety conscious, and well-versed in appropriate safety standards.
