Job Description

A Production Line Setup Specialist plays a crucial role in manufacturing by ensuring the efficient operation of production lines and delivering high-quality products.

This role involves performing various tasks, including setting up and calibrating equipment, troubleshooting and resolving production line issues, monitoring product quality, and maintaining accurate records of production data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and configure production equipment according to product specifications and production schedules.
  • Perform regular maintenance and calibration of tooling and machine settings; report and escalate equipment issues for timely repair or replacement.
  • Establish and monitor Centreline settings to ensure consistent production performance.
  • Operate filling and packing machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Identify and resolve equipment or production line issues; escalate recurring problems to engineering or maintenance teams.
  • Assist with preventative maintenance tasks and basic equipment servicing.
  • Monitor product quality throughout production runs and perform in-process quality checks.
  • Maintain accurate records of production output, changeovers, downtime, and deviations.
  • Support quality investigations by providing relevant data and observations.
  • Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and SOPs accurately.
  • Work closely with production team members, supervisors, engineers, and QA personnel to ensure seamless operations.
  • Provide support in training and mentoring new operators as needed.
Requirements
  • High School Certificate or equivalent; vocational training in mechanical/process operation preferred.
  • Minimum of 1–2 years' experience in a manufacturing or FMCG production environment.
  • Familiarity with machine setup, troubleshooting, and changeover processes.
  • Understanding of GMP, quality systems, and basic safety principles.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as schematics and SOPs.
  • Good physical stamina; ability to lift up to 15 kg and work on foot for extended periods.
  • Strong team orientation and communication skills.
