Energy Transition Project Lead

We're seeking a proactive and adaptable project leader to oversee the end-to-end execution of Future Networks projects focused on integrating renewable energy and deploying next-generation grid capabilities.

You'll work closely with our Enterprise Project Management Office team, reporting to the Senior Project Manager and Project Director, and collaborate with the Future Networks and Markets team on innovative projects.

This role will support the rollout of flexible exports and emergency backstop solutions across NSW over the next 12 months.

You'll apply both waterfall and agile delivery approaches, ensuring successful delivery within agreed milestones and timeframe.

About the Role
  • Manage and coordinate works to ensure compliance with company, safety, legislative, financial, and environmental standards.
  • Apply risk management to balance time, cost, and resources, delivering cost-effective projects aligned with network and customer priorities.
  • Develop and implement project delivery, safety, environmental, and risk management plans.
  • Drive continuous improvement by reviewing outcomes to enhance productivity and performance.
  • Contribute to project/program cost and resource planning and forecasting.
  • Oversee design, construction, and commissioning phases, coordinating with Design, Scheduling, and Operations teams.
  • Manage contractors safely and effectively, including procurement, tendering, contract administration, and service delivery.
  • Control project costs, ensuring accurate forecasting and budget compliance.
  • Provide timely, accurate reporting on project delivery, budget performance, risks, issues, and solutions.
