Health, Safety and Wellbeing Leader

As a proactive leader in workplace safety, you will champion health, safety and wellbeing across diverse operational environments. Reporting to the Regional Health, Safety and Wellbeing Manager, you will work closely with frontline teams and managers to develop and implement effective safety programs, controls and initiatives that drive continuous improvement in safety culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Health, Safety and Wellbeing projects, initiatives and critical risk control programs
  • Conduct site safety inspections, audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards
  • Provide expert guidance on Work Health and Safety legislation, compliance and best practice to ensure a safe working environment
  • Deliver engaging safety training and toolbox talks to operational teams to promote a positive safety culture
  • Support and lead incident investigations using recognised methodologies such as ICAM
  • Coach and influence leaders to build a proactive safety culture within their teams

Requirements:

  • Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety (or equivalent qualification)
  • Strong knowledge of Work Health and Safety legislation and risk management principles
  • ICAM or systems audit accreditation (desired)
  • Proven experience in safety advisory roles within operational environments
  • Excellent communication, coaching and stakeholder engagement skills to influence and motivate others
  • Experience in healthcare, warehousing or distribution environments is advantageous
