We are seeking a skilled Chef to join our team at PAN India, where you will be responsible for creating authentic Indian cuisine in a dynamic and stylish atmosphere. Chef Responsibilities:


• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, ensuring consistent quality and presentation.


• Examine foodstuffs to guarantee quality and freshness.


• Prepare food to meet special dietary requirements, such as vegan, gluten-free, or halal options.


• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to business standards and regulations.


• Train new kitchen staff and apprentices, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.


• Optimize resource utilization and minimize waste, ensuring efficient use of ingredients and equipment.


• Plan menus, estimate food requirements, labor costs, and order food supplies, ensuring timely delivery and quality.


• Monitor the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation, ensuring consistency and excellence.


• Taste food after cooking, applying the right amount of seasoning for a favorable flavor.


• Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.

Requirements:

· AQF Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery

· 2+ years of experience in Indian cuisine

· Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills

· Ability to follow directions and ask questions for clarification

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and handle stress

· Willingness to work beyond regular hours when required

Annual Salary: AUD 70,000 - 80,000
