We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef/Cook to join our team at Busy Bees Australia Employer Pty Ltd.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing nutritious meals for young children, considering their developmental needs. About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent culinary qualifications/experience.
  • A current and valid Working With Children Check or ability to obtain one.
  • A Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
  • Valid and current Australian Work Rights.

You will also possess:

  • Experience in designing rotating menus that adhere to dietary guidelines and cater to the diverse needs of children.
  • Ability to prepare meals for children with allergies, intolerances, or specific dietary needs (e.g., gluten-free, dairy-free, halal).
  • Strict adherence to food safety and hygiene protocols.
  • Ability to work within budgetary constraints when ordering food and supplies.
  • Punctuality and efficiency in preparing meals according to the schedule of the early childhood service.
