About the Role

As a key member of our Front Office Team, you will provide exceptional service to guests throughout their stays at Stamford Grand Adelaide.

We are seeking enthusiastic and hardworking professionals to join our team as Hotel Porters/Concierge staff. The successful candidate will create a seamless check-in/check-out experience for our valued guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Parking and Baggage Handling: Securely park guest cars, deliver bags and amenities in accordance with hotel policies.
  • Amenity Knowledge: Offer expert insight on hotel amenities and local attractions to exceed guest expectations.
  • Main Point of Contact: Serve as the primary point of contact for external and internal guests.
  • Front of House Security: Act as a front of house security advocate, ensuring non-guests are cautiously escorted.
  • Work Health and Safety: Maintain a diligent focus on workplace health and safety.
  • Room Inspections: Escort guests to their room and review cleanliness and maintenance upon entry, reporting any improvements required.
  • Valet Parking: Provide valet parking services or assist guests with self-parking.
  • Tour and Car Hire Bookings: Assist guests with tour and car hire bookings.
  • Local Knowledge: Provide knowledge of local attractions, restaurants, and activities.
  • Hotel Facilities Awareness: Maintain a thorough understanding of hotel facilities and awareness of all functions and activities occurring.
  • Luggage Management: Efficiently manage guest luggage and maintain clear communication during interactions.
About You

We are seeking a trustworthy, passionate people person who is self-motivated, pleasant mannered, and enjoys working as part of a pivotal team.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Customer Service Experience: A proven track record in customer-facing roles, preferably in a similar capacity.
  • Excellent Communication and Organisational Skills: Strong ability to communicate effectively and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Well-Groomed and Presentable: Possess a professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Adaptable and Problem-Solving: Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments and efficiently resolve problems.
  • Attention to Detail and Integrity: Demonstrate a strong attention to detail and commitment to integrity.
  • First Aid Training (Desirable): Possess first aid training, although not essential.
  • Driving Licence: Hold a full, unrestricted drivers license and be able to operate both manual and automatic vehicles.
  • Physical Ability: Possess the physical ability to perform manual handling tasks.
  • Roster Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible rosters, including Sundays.
  • Working Rights: Hold full, unrestricted working rights in Australia.
