Financial Capability Role

Are you passionate about empowering individuals to manage their finances effectively?

This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of people experiencing financial hardship.

You will work closely with clients to identify their financial needs, provide guidance on budgeting and money management, and facilitate referrals to internal and external services as needed.

This part-time position is based in Albany and is a crucial part of our team's efforts to support vulnerable communities.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Deliver Financial Education and Support: Provide high-quality financial education and support to clients, helping them build resilience and make informed decisions.
  • Build Relationships: Develop and maintain relationships with clients, communities, and partner organisations, fostering trust and cooperation.
  • Facilitate Referrals: Ensure seamless transitions for clients by facilitating referrals to relevant services, streamlining processes and enhancing outcomes.
  • Contribute to Workshops and Resources: Collaborate with colleagues to develop community education workshops and resources, promoting financial literacy and awareness.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated Experience: Proven experience working with marginalised and disadvantaged groups, understanding their unique challenges and needs.
  • Financial Literacy: Strong grasp of financial literacy and resilience principles, enabling effective guidance and support.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ensuring strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and partners.
  • Cultural Sensitivity: Ability to work effectively in a culturally sensitive environment, respecting diversity and promoting inclusivity.
  • Computer Skills: Well-developed computer skills, including proficiency in client management systems, to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
What We Offer:
