About the Opportunity

We seek an experienced professional to lead the transition of ICT services from internal to a shared services arrangement.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in delivering successful ICT projects, experience working in the public sector, and strong relationships building skills.

Key responsibilities include developing and implementing a comprehensive ICT strategy, overseeing the transition of ICT services, providing advice to stakeholders, collaborating with business leaders, and communicating effectively with technical and non-technical staff.

  • Develop and implement an ICT strategy that aligns with the agency's overall goals and objectives.
  • Oversee the transition of ICT services to ensure value for money, continuity of services, and implementation of a fit-for-purpose solution.
  • Provide strong and considered advice to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with business leaders across the agency to understand technology needs and requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships within and between agencies, negotiate and manage contracts and agreements as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff.
  • Ensure the security and reliability of IT systems and data, and implement strategies to mitigate risks and protect sensitive information.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the ICT team, including staff management, budgeting, and resource allocation.
