IT Infrastructure Strategist Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled IT infrastructure professional to support the transition of our infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will work closely with senior project managers and adhere to established project governance frameworks, ensuring alignment with organisational standards.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Plan, design and deliver IT infrastructure projects across secure environments, prioritising scalability and reliability.
  • Develop cabling and infrastructure strategies for new or transitioning facilities, leveraging industry best practices.
  • Oversee the transition of building-to-building infrastructure, minimising downtime and disruption.
  • Manage procurement processes, including vendor evaluation, contract management and supplier engagement.
  • Drive project governance, risk management and compliance with organisational standards, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Prepare and present strategy, status and technical updates to executive stakeholders, fostering strong relationships.
  • Ensure smooth handover and transition into operational environments, guaranteeing seamless continuity.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • A proven track record as an IT Infrastructure Technical Lead in large-scale, complex environments, with a focus on innovation and excellence.
  • Experience in migration/relocation, cabling and infrastructure transition projects, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Demonstrated ability in supporting procurement, vendor management and contract negotiations, with a customer-centric approach.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to prepare executive-level presentations that drive results.
  • A strong understanding of infrastructure strategy, architecture and delivery, with a passion for staying ahead of the curve.
  • NV2 or TSPV clearance is mandatory.
