About the Opportunity
">UGL's Manufacturing & Maintenance business is experiencing increased growth within our locomotive and rolling stock division based at Kooragang in Newcastle NSW. As a result, we are seeking experienced Heavy Maintenance Fitters to join our team.
">About the Role
">We are looking for individuals with a strong background in mechanical or electrical maintenance who can work autonomously and as part of a team. The primary purpose of this role is to perform scheduled service work, fault finding and troubleshooting tasks on locomotives at our Kooragang site.
">About You
">To be successful in this role, you will need:
">- ">
- Australian recognised trade certificate and hold a Certificate of Proficiency – Mechanical or Electrical">
- Working experience in a maintenance environment is essential – Preferably rollingstock maintenance">
- Strong written and verbal communication skills">
- Reliable & punctual">
- General rail and locomotive experience is desirable but not a necessity">
- Commitment to a safe work environment and practices">
- Focused on quality work & customer service excellence">
- Forklift license is desirable but not a necessity">
- Work cover overhead crane licence desirable but not a necessity">
- Lathe operational experience desirable but not a necessity">
