About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our maintenance and reliability team at Austube Mills Mayfield. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing breakdowns, preventative maintenance, and reliability to achieve continuous improvement. You will work in a process-driven and highly safety-focused environment, where you will have the autonomy to manage your workload and make a real impact on our operations.
The successful candidate will have a strong mechanical trade qualification and excellent troubleshooting skills. You will be proactive, safety-focused, and have a customer-centric approach. You will also have experience with production line and shutdown activities, as well as knowledge of Hydraulics and Pneumatics.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute preventative and predictive maintenance to ensure maximum asset reliability
- Attend plant and asset breakdowns
- Identify opportunities for improvement
- Perform trouble shooting and fault-finding tasks
- Provide feedback via the maintenance management system
- Participate in regular shutdown tasks as an individual or amongst a team
- Involvement in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations and corrective actions
