We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Family Support Specialist to deliver effective family support and services.

About the Role:

This is an ongoing Part-time (20 hours a week) opportunity where you will work with families to improve educational outcomes of Indigenous children aged birth to 12 years, providing supported playgroups, parenting and early childhood education services, counselling and support to young people who are vulnerable and at risk of homelessness, and early childhood intervention to people with a disability.

Key Qualifications and Skills:

  • You will have qualifications in Community Services or a relevant discipline and/or relevant work or life experience.
  • You will have knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values, awareness of current issues faced by Aboriginal children, young people and their families, and effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • You will be able to run group activities based on local need.
