The Role
We are seeking an experienced Operations Control Centre (OCC) Coordinator to join our team at Transit Systems NSW. As an OCC Coordinator, you will be responsible for the proactive monitoring and management of service delivery on our bus network. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Real-time Service Monitoring: Utilize Public Transport Information and Priority System (PTIPS) to actively monitor bus services and identify areas for improvement.
- Policy Implementation: Implement PTIPS policies and procedures to ensure effective communication, intervention, and other actions to support service delivery.
- Radio Communication: Initiate and respond to radio communication with bus drivers, addressing incidents, traffic diversions, and other operational concerns.
- Depot Management: Maintain communication with depot management to handle operational matters, including incidents, changeovers, and service coordination.
- Stakeholder Communication: Provide real-time information to external stakeholders, such as the Traffic Management Centre and the Transport Info Line.
- Emergency Response: Monitor and coordinate with emergency services to promptly address risks, incidents, or environmental hazards.
- Incident Review: Review incidents and accidents to enhance service delivery, reduce risk, and improve safety protocols.
