About the Role

The Catholic Education Archdiocese of Canberra & Goulburn is seeking a dedicated and passionate Religious Education Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of the School Leadership Team, you will play a vital role in shaping the spiritual growth and development of our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective Religious Education programs that align with the approved curriculum and Moran's Model of Religious Education.
  • Provide pedagogical leadership and support to colleagues in developing and implementing classroom religion teaching and learning programs.
  • Build capacity and support colleagues to embed Catholic perspectives across all subject areas.
  • Collaborate with the school community to develop and facilitate Christ-centred faith formation, prayer, and liturgical experiences.
  • Lead the school community in faith and build a culture of faith and learning that is Christ-centred.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Must be a qualified Teacher with a minimum of five years' experience.
  • Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) and Working with Children's Check (WWCC) registrations.
  • Teaching Quality Institute (TQI) accreditation and NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) accreditation.
  • Have completed or be due to complete Accreditation E – Teach Religious Education in a Catholic school in accordance with the Accreditation to Work, Teach and Lead in Catholic Education, Canberra and Goulburn Policy.
Selection Criteria
  1. Be Catholic.
  2. Ability to articulate the aims of Catholic education and the evangelising mission of Catholic schools.
  3. Ability to lead change and demonstrate contemporary pedagogy that focuses on improving student outcomes in Religious Education.
  4. Ability to evaluate, analyse, and use data to inform learning and engage in future strategic planning in Religious Education.
