About the Role

Cranbrook Care is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Food Service Coordinator to join our team at Lansdowne Gardens, a premier aged care residence in Neutral Bay, Sydney.

As a Food Service Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of meals to residents, ensuring a premium level of service and presentation. You will manage staff to serve all meals, including morning and afternoon tea, and develop a trusting relationship with residents to ensure mealtime is enjoyable and sensitive to their diverse needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the presentation of the dining room to ensure food safety and premium service standards are met.
  • Manage the service of meals in the dining room, ensuring resident preferences, religious and cultural backgrounds are respected.
  • Provide a communication link between care services and the kitchen to support ongoing outstanding care for residents.
  • Provide feedback on meals and resident enjoyment to the Executive Chef.

Requirements:

  • 1+ year experience working in a kitchen of a medium/large organisation or food service in a high service restaurant.
  • Experience working in a team environment.
  • Fluent spoken English and literate in English.
  • Previous experience in the health industry desirable.
  • Knowledge and understanding of infection control desirable.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Work, Health and Safety Legislation desirable.
