About the Role:
The McGrath Cancer Care Nurse is a key member of our multidisciplinary team, providing expert clinical care to individuals and families navigating a head and neck cancer diagnosis.
This involves delivering holistic, patient-centred care from diagnosis through treatment and beyond. As an advocate, educator, and clinical expert, you will ensure patients feel supported every step of the way.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality clinical care to patients diagnosed with head and neck cancer
- Develop and implement education programs for individuals and families affected by head and neck cancer
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
- Maintain expertise in oncology nursing through ongoing professional development
Requirements:
We are seeking a registered nurse with at least 5 years' experience in oncology and approved postgraduate qualifications relevant to head and neck cancer.
You must be currently registered as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency.
Ability to work effectively in a complex environment and prioritise competing workloads is essential.
