About the Role

The key objective of this position is to oversee and coordinate a team of revenue officers in patient revenue services. This entails predominantly managing inpatient billing and receipting processes. The team leader will provide support to various facilities across the region, ensuring seamless coordination and optimal performance.

About You

We are seeking an individual with extensive knowledge of systems, legislation, and corporate policies governing revenue collection. This includes hospital fees and regulations, health insurance commission and fund requirements. The ideal candidate should be able to rapidly acquire knowledge of these areas if necessary.

You will have demonstrated exceptional communication, negotiation, and consultative skills, with an ability to work effectively in a team environment and engage with patients, carers, internal, and external stakeholders.

Key Requirements

  • Demonstrated expertise in computerized patient billing systems, preferably those applicable to large public hospitals.
  • Ability to supervise and coordinate staff successfully and in line with quality human resource management practices including employment equity, anti-discrimination, occupational health and safety, and ethical behavior.
  • Vaccination against certain vaccine-preventable diseases as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16.
