Teaching Library Coordinator Position
The school is located on Dharawal Country, with a rich history of serving the local community. With an enrollment of 519 students in 20 stage and grade-based classes, we strive to provide opportunities for students to exceed their potential, engage in reflective practice, and build strength as learners.
We prioritize data-driven decision making and evidence-based collaborative practice, fostering strong foundations for student success. Our team of dedicated and skilled staff work together, complemented by a highly aspirational parent body that works closely with us to promote positive relationships and improve learning outcomes.
This permanent part-time position involves coordinating whole school events and programs, managing a stimulating library environment, and teaching across the school K-6. The ideal candidate will have approval to teach Primary Library or be undertaking/enrolled in Teacher Librarian qualifications approved by the relevant education department.
Key Selection Criteria:
- Approval to teach Primary Library or currently undertaking/enrolled in Teacher Librarian qualifications approved by the relevant education department.
- A creative and innovative approach to managing the library environment.
- Highly developed communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and adapt to existing frameworks and structures.
You will be required to work as part of a collaborative team, enhance practice, and build positive relationships with students, staff, parents/carers, and the wider community.
A willingness to participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to the implementation of our strategic plans is essential.
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the relevant education department, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
Please note that this is a permanent part-time position of 4 days per week, with a full-time equivalent (FTE) of 0.800.
