We are seeking an experienced Operational Director for our Altona site, responsible for daily operational tasks and facilitating activities that lead to greater efficiencies and effectiveness of the site operation.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in plastics manufacturing, with a focus on achieving business goals, developing and executing strategies, and driving a culture of Continuous Improvement and Operational Excellence.

This role involves:

  • Developing and implementing operational strategies to achieve business objectives
  • Managing daily and weekly production schedules to optimize production efficiencies and delivery in full on time (DIFOT)
  • Maintaining a high level of safety, quality, and productivity across the site
  • Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including customers and suppliers

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A tertiary qualification in Business, Science, Engineering, or Manufacturing
  • Working knowledge of SAP and MS Office suite
  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role within plastics and/or recycling
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with a proven ability to deal with various stakeholders
