Job Title: Logistics Operations Manager

Job Description:

The Logistics Operations Manager will play a crucial role in delivering operational efficiency and excellence through effective communication, problem-solving and team management.

  • Ensure the receipt, storage, and shipping of goods are performed efficiently on a daily basis.
  • Conduct monthly, half-yearly, and yearly stocktakes to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Monitor orders and shipments to control on-time delivery and reduce costs.
  • Facilitate smooth customs clearance without delays to ensure timely product delivery.
  • Collaborate with key suppliers to set and review Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) ensuring cost efficiency in logistics and freight management.
  • Verify freight invoices and ensure accurate charges are applied to the correct brand cost centre.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this position, you must possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • Tertiary qualification in a related field, such as supply chain management or operations research.
  • At least 5 years of experience in supply chain and/or operations management, preferably in the luxury goods industry.
  • Excellent people management skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software, with expertise in SAP advantageous.
