We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Receptionist to join our team at The Salvation Army. As a Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for clients and visitors, providing a warm and welcoming experience. Your key responsibilities will include screening incoming calls, assessing client needs, and managing enquiries effectively. You will also be responsible for providing administrative support, including data entry, and maintaining accurate records.

This is a permanent, part-time (19 hours per week) position based in Shepparton, VIC. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the SCHADS Award Level 2. If you have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and are looking for a rewarding career, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Screen incoming calls and assess client needs to take appropriate actions and manage enquiries effectively.
  • Provide administrative support, including data entry and maintaining accurate records.
  • Liaise with external service providers as per schedule to ensure currency of external referral information is maintained.
  • Assist with planning and logistics for meetings and events, including the setup of Board and IT rooms, organising catering, and audio-visual requirements.
  • Review data and process data entry in various systems as required; extract information from systems and compile data for managers as required.

Requirements:

  • Relevant business qualification such as certificate IV or Diploma in Business Administration.
  • A current Victorian Employee Working with Children Check.
  • A Victorian Driver Licence.
  • Experience in reception/administration responsibilities.
  • Intermediate ability with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Familiarity with Human Resources Information Systems (preferred).
