Job Opportunity

We are seeking a Mathematical Modeller to develop agent-based models for vaccine allocation and integrate respiratory virus surveillance data.

This role offers the opportunity to advance your skills in mathematical modelling while making a tangible difference in infectious disease prevention and control.

  • Develop and adapt mathematical models for respiratory virus epidemiology.
  • Analyse and integrate surveillance data using advanced statistical methods.
  • Contribute to research outputs through drafting peer-reviewed publications and reports.
  • Mentor and collaborate with graduate research students and teams.

To be successful, you will have a PhD in a relevant field, experience in computational modelling of biological systems, and a passion for applying your expertise to improve public health outcomes.

You will also require:

  • Experience in producing computational code for mathematical models using Python, R, or C++.
  • Proficiency in using R or ability to learn it quickly.
  • Excellent collaborative skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in publishing peer-reviewed scientific articles.
