Job Title: Ecologist (6 years post grad)

We are seeking an experienced Ecologist or Senior (terrestrial) to join our team at Water Technology, an employee-owned Australian water business. As a key member of our team, you will be based in our Parramatta office, but field work is also a regular part of the job.

About the Role

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including:

  • Supervising others and utilising your established contacts & networks for business development.
  • Delivering high quality expert advice and managing stakeholders internally & externally.
  • Mixture of field and office based projects.
  • Manage your own projects with support from other teams as needed.
  • Lead ecological field investigations, report preparation & biodiversity assessments across NSW.
  • Undertake broader environmental investigations and impact statements.
About You

We are looking for an established or emerging leader (6+ years post grad) who possesses:

  • Degree qualified ecologist with significant post-graduate experience (6+ years), preferably within a consulting environment.
  • Demonstrated botanical identification skills.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Working knowledge of relevant NSW and Commonwealth environmental legislation.
  • Sound experience within Sydney Basin ecology and undertaking ecological survey in the vegetation communities of NSW.
  • BAM Accreditation and/or bushfire planning accreditation would be highly regarded, but not essential.
  • Drivers licence and reliable car.
