The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Ecologist or Senior (terrestrial) to join our team in our Paramatta Office. As a key member of our team, you will work on a variety of projects, including partnering with local and federal government, regulatory authorities, and private organizations. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising others and utilizing your established contacts and networks for business development.
  • Delivering high-quality expert advice and managing stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Managing your own projects with support from other teams as needed.
  • Leading ecological field investigations, report preparation, and biodiversity assessments across NSW.
  • Undertaking broader environmental investigations and impact statements.

About You

We are looking for an established or emerging leader with a degree in ecology and significant post-graduate experience (6+ years). Your ideal skills and qualifications include:

  • Demonstrated botanical identification skills.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Working knowledge of relevant NSW and Commonwealth environmental legislation.
  • Sound experience within Sydney Basin ecology and undertaking ecological survey in the vegetation communities of NSW.
