
Senior Workplace Investigation Specialist

Our mission is to resolve complex people matters within a national science agency. We seek an expert in workplace investigations and case management to join our team. This role involves resolving misconduct, bullying, harassment, and discrimination cases with fairness, confidentiality, and integrity.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in conducting thorough investigations, preparing reports, and providing recommendations. They must also possess strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills to guide leaders and employees through complex resolution processes.
We are looking for a professional who can lead and manage complex workplace investigations, ensuring fairness, confidentiality, and alignment with our values. The successful candidate will also be responsible for undertaking evidence-based analysis, preparing clear findings and recommendations, and collaborating with stakeholders to achieve effective resolutions.
Maintaining accurate records and case documentation is essential, as well as supporting the Manager, Case Management in assessing and recommending appropriate courses of action for complex people matters.
This is a full-time position based in Canberra, Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide or Hobart. Hybrid working arrangements are available. A competitive salary and benefits package are on offer, including AU$114,219 – AU$123,605 per annum, plus 15.4% superannuation.
To be successful, you will require a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Human Resource Management, Business Management, Industrial Relations, Employment Law, or a related discipline; postgraduate qualifications are desirable. You must also have at least five years' experience conducting workplace or regulatory investigations, ideally within government or large complex organisations.
