Workday Implementation Manager

The Workday Implementation Manager is a key practice leader that provides expert guidance and advice to the Consulting management team and their subsequent team members.

This individual will assist the sales team with sales activities, such as estimating and presenting to prospects. This person works closely with Engagement Managers, Project Managers, Managing Consultants, and leads, and acts as a liaison between the Consulting team and executive management.

This person will assist in identifying business needs, staffing projects, and ensuring that the work/life balance of our consultants is monitored and adjusted appropriately.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee projects across the practice.
  • Assist Engagement Managers and team members when needed to identify project needs, reduce risk, and develop solutions and strategies.

Sales Support:

  • Support the RFP response and pursuit process for consulting work.

Team Leadership:

  • Recruit, develop, and manage a diverse remote team of consultants supporting Workday applications.
  • Promote a team-oriented, challenging, and innovative work environment.

Methodology:

  • Drive team performance to achieve high customer satisfaction levels.
  • Establish credibility with clients and within the company; build consensus and achieve goals through influence.
  • Build trust-based relationships and identify business development opportunities.

People Development:

  • Mentor and coach team members.
  • Analyze team skills and provide cross-training to maintain teams' ability to staff projects.
  • Advise management on team members' expertise and availability.

Performance Management:

  • Set direct reports' goals and objectives during bi-annual reviews.
  • Collect performance feedback from customers and engagement/project managers quarterly or upon project completion.
  • Collect internal contributions for team members, assuring data is received by HR quarterly.

Skills & Requirements:

  • 3-7 years of Workday (or other ERP) consulting implementation experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Proven experience leading a virtual team for 3+ years.
  • Fast learner, detail-oriented, decisive, and enjoy fast-paced work environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with sales engagement and presentation skills.
