About the role:
John Holland's Infrastructure division is constructing complex projects, including the Black Hill to Tomago M1, Gold Coast Light Rail, and Upper South Creek Advanced Water Recycling Centre. Due to industry expansion, we're seeking a Quantity Surveyor for a $450m Water Infrastructure project in regional NSW.
Responsibilities:
- Track, monitor, and control costs during the project life cycle.
- Interpret specifications and assess their impact on project costs.
- Use a cost control model to increase profitability by identifying variances between cost elements.
- Analyze actual costs against planned costs and forecast the final cost versus budget.
- Create tender event schedules for procurement programs.
- Budget/Tender reconciliation, change management, and variance analysis.
- Quantification and costing of construction work.
- Quantity take-off and preparing Bills of Quantities.
- Prepare estimates, quantities, prices, and costing for the project.
- Interface with Project managers and Engineers to manage risks and opportunities.
Requirements:
- Tertiary or Trade Qualification in Quantity Surveying.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role.
- Experience on infrastructure projects within the construction industry.
