Child and Family Care Practitioner

The role of a Clinical Nurse Specialist in the CAMHS Children Looked after and Adoption team involves assessment and coordination of ongoing support to children and young people accepted into the service.
Working closely with social workers, adoptive parents, and other agencies, this position will promote and develop clinical excellence within the team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing therapeutic interventions to children and young people with complex mental health needs
- Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, including education, health, and social care
- Coordinating care plans and risk assessments
- Delivering consultation and support to children and young people who have been adopted
Requirements for this position include:
- Appropriate professional registered qualification, e.g., RMN or equivalent
- Membership of a registered statutory body, e.g., NMC
- Post-basic qualification in Child and Adolescent Mental Health or relevant experience
Desirable qualifications and experiences for this role include NMP qualification, sign-off mentor training, CPA and/or EHAF training, and further child safeguarding training.
