Our Organisation
The Benevolent Society's vision is to build a just society where all Australians can live their best life.
For more than 200 years, we have supported people at the margins of society: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians; children, young people, and their families; older people; carers; and people with disability.
We are an independent, non-religious service provider that supports people to live life their way.
As part of our commitment to reconciliation, we actively promote the economic, political, and social inclusion of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
About the role
Our Family Preservation Program collaborates with families expecting a child or with children under 18 to strengthen family relationships so children can live at home safely, free from abuse and neglect, and have a positive start to life.
Our services are voluntary for families at high risk of entering or escalating within the statutory child protection system.
Duties
Engage and support families with regular in-home support services.
Conduct initial assessments of family strengths and needs; develop case plans that build resilience and foster positive relationships.
Use evidence-informed practices and partner with other services to support families in shaping their future.
Tailor support to families using a strengths-based approach to meet individual needs.
Our Benefits
We support people to live their best life, including our employees.
A 'best life' is unique and adaptable:
Salary Benefits - Package up to $15,900 pa of your pre-tax salary for expenses before income tax, increasing your take-home pay
Work / Life Balance - Enjoy flexible work arrangements, including hybrid home/office options, and an additional day off each month (12 days per year).
Recognition and Reward - Sector competitive pay, recognition programs, and long service leave after 5 years.
Wellness - Fitness passport, Employee Assistance Program, and options to purchase additional leave.
