Job Title: Electrical Service Specialist

About the Role:

The ideal candidate should hold a recognized trade certificate and have the aptitude to work as an electrical technician in our service team.

This role is for a full-time electrical service specialist to work in our team, based on-site at Dulacca Wind Farm. The technicians report to the site supervisor and are responsible for maintaining wind turbines according to the contract.

  • Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform scheduled maintenance and repairs as required
  • Respond to site visits outside normal working hours to undertake reactive maintenance on a rostered basis
  • Maintain all company vehicles and equipment in good condition
  • Operate high-voltage (HV) and low-voltage (LV) systems within the scope of training and authorization
  • Evaluate each task to ensure safety of personnel, environmental protection, and adherence to work methods
  • Complete site induction procedures
  • Adhere to the requirements of the SMA (Service Maintenance Agreement)
  • Comply with OH&S legislation and demonstrate commitment to accident prevention
  • Familiarize yourself with workplace instructions, procedures, safety codes, employer policies, and statutory regulations
  • Wear personal protective equipment as necessary
  • Participate in safety meetings and discussions as required
  • Perform other tasks within competence, skill, qualifications, and experience as directed

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A-Grade Electrical License
  • Clean driving license
  • Literacy skills in PC and modern technologies to support daily work
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings for fault-finding and maintenance purposes
  • Knowledge of PLC and SCADA systems
  • Motivation to learn new skills and excel in a growing industry
  • Understanding of safety principles and willingness to drive safety compliance
  • Experience with HV/LV, hydraulics, and mechanical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings
  • Proficiency in using various hand tools
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in small teams
  • Ability to work at heights in confined spaces
