Compliance Specialist

Our organization seeks an experienced Compliance Specialist to maintain and improve our company's compliance performance and manage product selection across the distribution and fulfilment centres to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure customers receive the right products from their local DC.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support distribution centre/fulfilment centre teams in adhering to regulatory compliance requirements, including the Code of Good Wholesaling Practice for Medicines.
  • Complete audit preparation activities, including capturing all required documentation for pre-audit or post-audit submission to relevant authorities.
  • Maintain relationships with national ethics teams, regulatory bodies, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Manage the distribution centre ranging process to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and prevent disruptions to customer service.
  • Monitor and implement cold chain compliance across the supply chain network.
  • Monitor expiry stock projections and report to the wholesale and retail team.
  • Prepare, plan, and coordinate internal and external audits, providing support and serving as a point of contact for auditors and distribution teams.

Requirements include:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in FMCG supply chain, ideally in a pharmaceutical or retail environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with expertise in data analytics, MS Word, Excel, SAP, and Manhattan (WMS).
  • Experience in warehousing, logistics/supply chain with familiarity with industry-specific regulations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements relative to the pharmaceutical industry and product ranging processes.
  • The ability to effectively prioritize and mitigate issues negatively impacting service, safety, culture, or cost.
  • Availability for interstate travel at short notice to support audits or other continuous improvement activities.
  • Tertiary degree qualification in logistics/supply chain/business/commercial disciplines preferred.
