Salary: AU$120,000 - AU$150,000 per annum

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Contracts Manager to provide end-to-end support and advice on procurement contractual activities. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of contract management and be able to review and draft procurement contracts based on internal and supplier templates.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Negotiating contract terms with suppliers and partners;
  • Maintaining and managing the contract database, ensuring all documents are up-to-date and accessible;
  • Providing guidance on contract-related issues to internal stakeholders;
  • Monitoring contract performance and compliance, identifying and addressing any issues or discrepancies;
  • Collaborating with legal, procurement, and finance teams to ensure alignment and efficiency in contract management processes;
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of contracts and procedures;
  • Providing mentoring, guidance, and leadership to peers and/or other team members where needed;

In addition to these key responsibilities, the successful candidate will have the ability to:

  • Draft detailed contractual execution memorandums, highlighting negotiation outcomes, contractual concerns, and issues for signature by Civeo's Leadership team;
  • Understand both commercial and general legal risks, terminology, and principles preferably within the procurement sector and provide advice and direction to ensure alignment with Civeo's best interests both commercially and legally.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, law, or commerce;
  • Minimum 5 years' experience working within the procurement or legal industry;
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare contracts and drive contract management processes and functions to deliver contracts on time and with high levels of accuracy;
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate into business outcomes;
  • Excellent facilitation and coaching skills;
  • Ability to prioritise and work collaboratively with internal stakeholders in fast-paced environments to meet deadlines;
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
