pRandstad Darwin is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Event Coordinator to join a dynamic team within a local Government Department./ppRole: Level 5 Event Officer brSalary: $54.11p/hour + potential overtimebrContract: Casual for 3 months/ppFull time hours Monday to Friday Darwin based role/ppAbout the rolebrAssist the Community Events Coordinator in developing, coordinating and organising community events, activities and programs in the Palmerston Municipality, with the aim of increasing participation of the council residents and building community capacity./pulliAssist the Community Events Coordinator with planning and logistics of Council events./liliDevelop and implement strategies to promote Council events and programs./liliManage all aspects of event planning including site plans, risk assessments, run sheets, and vendor coordination./liliConduct post-event evaluation and provide recommendations for improvements./liliEnsure compliance with relevant legislation, policies and licensing requirements for events./liliDevelop and maintain effective relationships with Community stakeholders./liliWork alongside other Council departments to create and deliver engaging activities and events for community members./liliIndependently plan logistics and deliver events e.g., Citizenship Ceremonies, Flicnics, Live at the Lake/liliAssist Media with the promotion of Council events./liliMaintain relevant databases for information, process invoices and other administrative tasks as required./li/ulpWhat you need:/pulliRelevant vocational qualifications such as Event Management, Project Management and/or experience in event or project management./liliDemonstrated strong organisational and event coordination skills./liliAbility to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required for events./liliAbility to solve problems by exercising and analysing the available options./liliDemonstrated experience in project management within time and budget constraints./liliProven experience in working in collaborative partnerships with local, state and federal governments, non-government organisations, contractors and the community./liliWell-developed interpersonal, communication and negotiating skills/li/ulpWhat you will get in return/pulli3 months of work/lili$54.11 dollars per hour/liliWeekly Pay/liliDiscounts at retailers like David Jones, Myer & JB HiFi, Rebel Sport, Woolworths, Hoyts cinemas and many more./liliA free Employee Assistance Program offers you and your family support/li/ulpAt Randstad, we are passionate about providing equal employment opportunities and embracing diversity to the benefit of all.
