About the Role

We are seeking an experienced EHSQ Coordinator to join our highly engaged EHSQ Team at DSI Underground. This position will be based at our site in Queensland, reporting directly to the EHSQ Manager APAC.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain Emergency Plans and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements;
  • Develop and update Work Instructions to ensure relevance and accuracy;
  • Provide expert advice on obligations and compliance with Workplace Health and Safety Legislation;
  • Conduct hazard identification and risk assessments on all equipment and activities;
  • Provide First Aid to injured/ill persons, arranging transport and treatment with medical professionals;
  • Act as RTW Coordinator for Queensland, including attending NTD and Specialist appointments with ill/injured workers;
  • Lead the internal and external calibration of equipment in line with AS/NZS Standards;
  • Compile EHSQ data and reports, conducting data analysis to identify required focus areas;
  • Investigate EHSQ incidents/non-conformances to identify root causes and implement corrective and preventative actions;
  • Coordinate EHSQ Projects as identified or agreed by the EHSQ Manager APAC and Operations Management team.
About You
  • You will bring previous experience in health, wellness, and rehabilitation with your friendly, approachable personality and empathy for others to thrive in this role. In addition, you will possess the following attributes:
  • Degree or tertiary qualifications in EHSQ management or a relevant field;
  • Experience with integrated management systems including ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018;
  • Advanced communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills;
  • Detail-oriented focus, with strong critical thinking ability;
  • In-depth knowledge of WHS legislation, standards, and codes of practice;
  • Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting.
