Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled engineer to join our team in providing high-quality engineering services.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining equipment, responding to demands in a timely manner, and ensuring factory performance meets targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).

To achieve this, the engineer will need to identify and implement improvements, increase equipment availability and performance, and meet overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) targets.

In addition, the engineer will be expected to proactively use the planned maintenance system (PMS) for capturing all engineering labour and parts.

Work Schedule

The shift pattern will be 4 on/4 off, with working hours from 05:30 to 17:30 and 17:30 to 05:30.

Requirements
  • NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualification in Electrical.
  • Qualifications recognized in the UK.
  • Literacy and numeracy skills at National Level 2 Standard.
  • Able to deliver quality and accuracy in own work and standards.
  • Able to cope under pressure and adapt to peaks in personal workload.
  • Able to anticipate/identify problems and provide effective solutions using available resources.
  • Able to act on decisions with corresponding urgency.
  • Personal and interpersonal skills.
  • Good standard of written and spoken English.
  • Desirable experience in a food processing industry.
  • Desirable experience of poultry processing machinery.
  • Desirable knowledge of lean techniques and processes.
  • Desirable automated machinery experience.
  • Desirable computer literacy.
  • Desirable 17th/18th Edition Qualified.
  • Desirable industrial experience.
  • Desirable knowledge of programmable logic controller (PLC) systems and fault finding.
  • Desirable SCADA system knowledge.
