**About Us**
BGC’s Quarries, based at The Lakes along The Great Southern Highway, produce more than 1,500,000 tonnes of crushed aggregate a year, and supply the raw material for the required concrete, roof tiles, block paving products, road construction projects, civil engineering and large commercial projects.
**The Opportunity**
Due to significant growth and increase in production our team is seeking an experienced Laboratory Technician to join the BGC Quarries team located at The Lakes, roughly 30 minutes north-east of Midland.
This exciting opportunity is a full-time permanent role working Monday - Friday with overtime options available.

**role**
**will**
**include**:
- Perform routine sampling and testing of raw materials and asphalt to recognised standards;
- Exercise sound unbiased judgment when conducting sampling and testing;
- Conduct checks of feeders, gauges and test equipment used in the manufacturing process;
- Conduct activities at remote locations when required;
- Conduct work in an organised manner, ensuring legibility and traceability in record keeping;
- Review test reports and authorise the release of results, if authorised.
**What we’ll love about you**
- Laboratory experience specifically aggregate testing (desired but not essential)
- Promoter of harmonious team environments;
- Can do attitude and willingness to aid and give advice where needed to team members;
- Ability to conduct equipment checks and adhere to workplace health and safety policies;
- A willingness to learn and grow your skillset;
- Hold a current valid WA Driver’s License.
- Willingness to work the occasional Saturday / Sunday shift (if required)
