About the Role
">This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Audit Officer to join our team and contribute to improving the lives of older people by maintaining the integrity of the aged care system.
">The Commission was formed to oversee the quality and safety of aged care services in Australia. As a key member of our audit function, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that approved providers meet the Aged Care Quality Standards.
">As a Senior Audit Officer, you will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing provider documentation, preparing audit plans, and supporting audit teams with planning, administration, and quality assurance activities.
">Key responsibilities include conducting reviews and analysis of provider information, preparing agendas and targeted questions for interviews, and preparing and updating audit plans.
">Collaboration and communication are essential skills for this role, as you will work closely with field-based team members and stakeholders to understand and respond to emerging requirements.
">Leadership and management skills are also required, as you will lead and manage APS 5 Auditor staff, including developing, coaching, and mentoring staff.
">Sound analytical and problem-solving skills are necessary to prepare high-quality reports and recommendations for improvement.
">A degree qualification in a relevant discipline, such as law, business, health sciences, or social science, is required, along with proven experience in auditing or regulatory environments.
">Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for success in this role, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
