Job Overview

The Compliance Breach Specialist will provide strategic compliance support to our organization, working closely with senior stakeholders to undertake assessments of breaches of law and manage compliance activities.

Main Responsibilities

  • Oversight of breaches being appropriately identified, investigated, and reported, ensuring timely corrective action is taken when breaches are detected
  • Identification of external regulatory and compliance frameworks relevant to financial services, application or implementation as necessary for breach reporting obligations
  • Oversight of local compliance requirements, policies, and internal guidelines
  • Proactive input into the strategy for the compliance team, performing and completing sufficient planning of assigned objectives to ensure appropriate risk management and coordinated approach for initiatives
  • Providing compliance advice to ensure we meet our compliance and conduct obligations
  • Management of regulatory risk by providing advice consistent with regulator expectations

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills for building relationships with senior stakeholders
  • Effective time management to meet deadlines
  • Strong influencing skills and passion for compliance advising
  • Strong regulatory understanding and ability to form insights
  • Experience in compliance or risk management within financial services or general insurance
  • Strong communication skills, ability to work remotely with cross-functional teams, and relevant qualifications in business, commerce, or equivalent
