Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled leader to manage a team of engineers, drive product-focused work for our mobile app, and oversee engineering processes and practices.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of engineers and help them grow professionally.
  • Owning the delivery of our mobile app to market.
  • Provide guidance on technical contributions, product architecture, and other areas.
  • Maintain a positive team environment by overseeing engineering processes and practices.
  • Conduct interviews for candidates and train the team to conduct technical interviews.
  • Implement process improvements.
  • Hold regular 1:1s with all team members and give clear feedback on performance.
  • Foster informed decision making while making final decisions when necessary.
  • Improve product quality, security, and performance.
  • Possess multiple specialties on the team per our shared domain concept.
  • Participate in Incident Management on-call rotation to meet availability goals.
  • Develop features and improvements to our product in a secure, well-tested, and performant way.
  • Collaborate with Product Management and other stakeholders to iterate on new features.
  • Craft code that adheres to internal standards for style, maintainability, and best practices for a high-scale web environment.
  • Ship small features with minimal guidance and collaborate on larger projects.
  • Contribute to improving the overall product experience and identify areas of codebase improvement.
  • Learn, collaborate, and mentor other Software Engineers; promote inclusive and collaborative contributions.
  • Triage bugs, determine priority, and ensure timely resolution.
  • Follow and contribute to the team workflow and our community's practices.
