Cable Beach Club Resort & Spa, located in Broome, Western Australia, is an employer seeking a professional to fill the role of Assistant Human Resources Manager. We offer a relaxed lifestyle with access to amenities such as shops, restaurants, cinemas, and hospitals. Our property comprises 233 rooms of varying styles, along with four restaurants, poolside bars, a tour desk, a resort shop, and a full-service Day Spa and Hair Salon.

Key Responsibilities
  • In the absence of the HR Manager, provide instruction to departments.
  • Assist in implementing grievance and disciplinary procedures.
  • Offer accurate advice and guidance on employment-related matters, including entitlements, accommodations, benefits, contract terms, and conditions, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Provide training and support to the HR team.
  • Ensure adherence to legal requirements regarding discrimination, sexual harassment, minimum conditions, OH&S, grievances, and disciplinary procedures.
  • Manage the progress of Resort apprentices and trainees by maintaining close contact with them, their managers, and external training organizations and agencies.
  • Oversee performance management, training, and development systems.
  • Administer the Resort Orientation program for new staff.
  • Coordinate Visa and sponsorship information and assist with Seasonal Worker Program administration.

The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of Industrial Relations, Recruitment, Privacy, and Training legislation. Previous experience in a Hotel/Resort environment is preferred. A Human Resources Qualification or at least three years of HR management experience are required. Proven customer service experience is necessary. Intermediate level skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, and Office 365 SharePoint are also essential. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are desired. A current driver's license is mandatory.
