A Day in the Life

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced sales professional to join our Australia Cranial & Spine Technology sales team in Victoria. In this role, you will be driving sales growth and market share by promoting our Neurosurgery portfolio to key surgeons and clinical staff.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

As a sales professional reporting into the Regional Sales Manager, you will:

  • Promote and sell Medtronic's products and services within an assigned geographic area and/or specific customer.
  • Provide technical and case support to customers in theatre.
  • Account for meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Be responsible for developing, building, and strengthening long-term relationships with stakeholders including distributors and healthcare professionals.
  • Pursue leads, assess needs, and provide product services to maximize the benefits derived from Medtronic's products and/or services.
  • Promote and establish education of the company's products and/or services.
  • Conduct market research including customers and competitors' activities.
  • Implement market development plans/strategies and changes as needed.
  • Communicate customer feedback on new products and/or modifications to existing products or applications to internal stakeholders including R&D, Operations, and Marketing.
  • Provide technical and case support to customers in theatre.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

Must-Have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Science, Nursing, or Business-related discipline is essential.
  • Proven sales experience selling into hospitals with a success track record in the medical devices.

Nice to Have:

  • A strong understanding of the Australia public and private healthcare system and experience working within Operating Theatres.
  • Solid clinical knowledge with the ability to build strong working relationships with key surgeons and other medical staff.
  • A self-motivated individual with a resilient attitude who strives to exceed customer expectations and deliver outstanding results.
  • The successful applicant will take part in a rotating on-call roster to provide clinical support in cases that occur outside of normal business hours.
